Dans l'état actuel des choses, ces jeux sont abandonnés et en possession d'une communauté d'utilisateur diminuant de jour en jour. Ces programmes sont détériorés par le temps à cause du support sur lequel ils reposent et ces classiques AMSTRAD CPC, une grosse partie de l'histoire du jeu vidéo, risquent d'être perdus à tout jamais dans le futur. Cette tragédie doit être prévenue et évitée.

Un petit coup de main... Vous pouvez nous aider à mettre ce site à jour. Pour certains titres je ne dispose pas de test alors si vous avez ça dans vos vieux Amstrad CPC , AmMag , Tilt ou autres, un coup de scanner et envoyez moi ça. Si vous n'aimez pas scanner ( ou pas de scanner ) et que vous désirez vider votre grenier, vous pouvez aussi m'envoyer vos vieux magazines de jeux vidéo. N'hésitez pas à nous contacter!!!

Initiallement, le dump est le fait de transférer les données d'une cartouche, cassette , disquette de jeu sur un support informatique sous forme de fichier interprétable par un émulateur. Ces techniques varient d'une machine à l'autre et nécessitent parfois des outils très spécialissés.

Si vous avez un emulateur CPC vous pouvez chargez ces fichiers et les décompresser dans votre répertoire.

L'Amstrad CPC est une machine 8 bits à base d'un Z80 à 4MHz. Le premier de la gamme fut le CPC 464 en 1984, équipé d'un lecteur de cassettes intégré il se plaçait en concurrent  du Commodore C64 beaucoup plus compliqué à utiliser et plus cher. Ce fut un réel succès et sorti cette même années le CPC 664 équipé d'un lecteur de disquettes trois pouces intégré. Sa vie fut de courte durée puisqu'en 1985 il fut remplacé par le CPC 6128 qui était plus compact, plus soigné et surtout qui avait 128Ko de RAM au lieu de 64Ko.
