I got this demo in conjunction with the classic PD game "Crazy Snake," which was also written by Fraggle. Together, both of these programs make a truly great combination.

F&D Demo 7 is a multi-part demo, and the intro consists of a cool MODE 1 picture which opens up from the middle of the screen. Pressing any key takes you to a simple scroll with a parallax scrolling starfield behind it. The font used is taken from Face Hugger's "Ultimate Megademo." The next part is really basic: just the letters "FRAGGLE+DUCK" bouncing about, and a tune playing.

The third part the best in this demo - a skull taken from the "GPA Monsters" demo, with loads of little balls orbiting it like the rings of Saturn. Below it, a box with the words "FRAGGLE AND DUCK DEMO 7" has black and white squares moving around it, giving another of those indescribable effects. There's also a small ghostwriter scroll at the bottom.

In the fourth part, there are some balls rotating around another logo, and a good tune, too. It's not terribly spectacular, though, and it's quite slow as well. The fifth and final part is just another picture, but it appears in a "sand clock" fashion - it starts from the bottom and gradually reaches the top. Again, it's not easy to explain. The picture is very good indeed.

Overall, F&D Demo 7 is very well-presented, although it doesn't exactly push the CPC's hardware to the limit - there isn't any overscan, for instance, and all the techniques used seem to be software, as opposed to hardware. Mind you, I still like it a lot - there are loads of great Soundtrakker tunes.
