Here as promised in The Look is Shabaz Yousaf of Slough's excellent little program, Symbolizer. It can be used to redesign the CPC character set into whatever you want... Admittedly the instructions contained in The Look are, shall we say, vague. Here comes the real story: When you start the program, a grid is displayed on the comer o 1 the screen. The character being edited is displayed to the right of the grid: the default is chr$(65), or a. The design that you place on the grid (using the cursor keys to move around and tab to set or reset pixels) is drawn normal size below the grid. To change the start character simply alter tire value of n in line 30 to read something like :- 30 n=whateveryouwant:reservend=n-1:SYMBOL AFTER reservend: start=nTo finish editing a character press return The program will store the edited character, and then progress to the next in the series Saving ar. edited character set is accomplished by pressing capital s. This will produce a Basic program that, when run, auto matically sets up the character set. Ce fut un réel succès et sorti cette même années le CPC 664 équipé d'un lecteur de disquettes trois pouces intégré. Sa vie fut de courte durée puisqu'en 1985 il fut remplacé par le CPC 6128 qui était plus compact, plus soigné et surtout qui avait 128Ko de RAM au lieu de 64Ko. |
