Perhaps the only reasonable criticism of the Amstrad PCW might be the standard of the NLQ of the printer. It is possible to purchase alternative word processing software offering a choice of typestyles, but they are restricted for use solcy within the confines of the software package. Supertype overcomes this by actually changing the Amstrad CP/M operating system itself. It may be installed on any program disk, whether a word-processor (including LocoScript) or any other software package on the PCW. Supertype can be used in all of the modes supported by the printer including: enlarged, bold, emphasised, italic, proportional, etc. “FontGem's (Supertype's) abilities can really add some spice to your parish newsletter and make LocoScribed documents seem much more interesting. At £19.95 it's Font-astic.” 8000PLUS ★ AMSTRAD CPC ★ DOWNLOAD ★ |
