BE A BRAIN SURGEON! You may have noticed that this column is not usually graced with adventure games reviews. Indeed, I hate spending ten days plodding through a be-forested landscape picking up coins, charms, scrolls etc and then being suddenly decapitated by some mystic wizard you could have taken out easily with one drop from that magic phial you chucked in the flamin' sea 2,534 moves ago! Right, now that I've got that off my chest, I'll tell you about Scapeghost. It's Level 9's latest adventure for the CPC, and may prove to be the best. You play the part of Alan Chance, and it's your job not only to show the police that you are not a bungling oaf after all, but that you also are equipped to help apprehend nefarious baddies and to rescue your girlfriend Sarah - who they've kidnapped - into the bargain. The adventure is split into three parts, corresponding with your activities on three consecutive nights. You have to solve each part before you can advance to the next. The graphics are very good, and the plot itself is interesting. I've worked out how to get the game loaded without being killed, so the review is imminent.
