DEEP beneath the surface of the planet Shoogar is a complex system of caves and tunnels. These are all that's left of a once thriving diamond industry.

The planet's inhabitants are long gone, but it's a well known fact that a fortune still exists down in the caves: Diamonds as yet unprocessed and locked chests of beautiful gems hidden away from prying eyes.

The mines were left open, so access is no problem. But the Shoogars were a crafty bunch. They've cleverly booby trapped the place by making the floor - a series of panels - collapse as you move through. So to return the way you came will be fatal.

They've also released a rather ferocious green meanie to ward off trespassers. As this moves through the caves, homing in on your scent, the floors are replaced to allow it access.

Your job is to enter the mine and recover as many diamonds as possible. At your disposal you have the Cyclops, a fast moving droid that can move north, south, east and west on the grid.

It has only three power packs and any action that would prove fatal, such as being caught by the meanie or moving into a void, will result in the loss of one of these.

There are five levels to the mine and in the deeper recesses are power packs left behind in earlier attempts. These look like hearts and collecting them increases the droid's lifespan.

Vou'll also find the treasure chests which can only be unlocked if you've collected up to three keys on the lower levels. Look out for the red bullion blocks which earn extra points if you manage to cross them.

Once you've completed level five your droid is automatically returned to level one - where the task continues. Good luck!
