It there's one thing that Amstrad owners aren't going lo go short of it is excellent quality spreadsheets Multiplan Is the latest big name program to reach the bargain basement and indeed is probably the best selling CP/ M spreadsheet in recent years Next to Digital Research. Multiplan's author. Microsoft, is probably the most influential software company operating in the USA. Perhaps the most important implication of the release of Multiplan is that it signals Mirrorsoft's recognition Amstrad's importance in the small business market. Other than that it is difficult to know what to say about Multiplan without descending Into a precise discussion of the finer command features It doesn't have graphics built in, like the Cracker, but otherwise it does almost everything other sheets can do The manual is superb, and it is probably the most attractive sheet available with the option to set up multiple bordered windows. Most important of all is the ability to link and pass information between various separate defined worksheets, making it the best choice for those who have large amounts of data to coordinate. Passing data from one file to another is a nice compromise between a Ram based system (fast but limited) and a disc based storage file (large but very slow).
