Silly Number Guessing Game
Using Up Arrow or Down Arrow, simply select the random number the computer has picked & press space to see if you're correct! To make the game slightly easier, an musical note of the random number is played once, using your Up and Down Arrow Keys will go through that musical scale, you can use that as a guide. I wrote this using Winape 2.0 Alpha 18 emulating an Amstrad CPC464 using Locomotive BASIC 1.0, however I have tested with Amstrad CPC6128 with Locomotive BASIC 1.1 and found no problems, other CPCs configurations should also work. To setup Winape to emulate an Amstrad CPC464, select "Settings", followed by "Memory". In the ROMs box select "OS464" beside Lower. For Upper 0 Select "BASIC1-0" & to read my disc image select "AMSDOS" alongside Upper 7. Although AMSDOS is the standard disc drive operating system on an Amstrad, other Disc Operating Systems can be used (e.g. Parados). My game will function with the minimum 64Kb. Once those settings are in place, click OK, to make those settings take effect hold down CTRL+F9 to reset the emulator using those settings. To load Silly Number Guess Game, insert Disc Image into Winape (Select File/Drive A/Insert Disc Image) or CTRL+F1, select Silly Number Guessing Game, click Open. Run the game in Winape with RUN"DISC to play. I have prepared a Long version of the game which can be found on an seperate disc image, Silly Number Guessing Game Long Version Comments to help make the program more readable. |
