 THE news that MML Systems was giving away free PCW8512s at the Amstrad Computer Show resulted in a posse of computer journalists heading in their direction. It turned out the laugh was on them. For the "freebie" was a paper cut-out of the machine that they needed to assemble themselves. Andrew Clarke, of MML, and Alex Poel, the wife of William Poel, head of New Star Software, show off the joke offer.
