A third copy of Chase HQ 2 appears to have just been just found!. The cartridge is unfortunately still missing but this was found in an ongoing attic clearance. So fingers crossed.

After months of me, Gareth Fenwick and Kevin Moon (owner of That Retro Shop) patiently waiting, unfortunately the cartridge for Chase HQ 2 (SCI) couldn’t be found from the loft clearances. A massive “thank you” though to Gareth for coming all the way down from Newcastle to Bristol to allow me to purchase the Box and manual. It was massively important to get hold of these as they had never been properly scanned before and the last images came in 2010!. Having came across my fair share of fakes before (these are usually copies of Mystical and Copter 271) I can happily confirm that this is indeed a genuine “third” copy, just missing its cartridge unfortunately!. Our search to get a Rom dump unfortunately continues, however Gareth has been a real gentleman. He understood the importance of the game and if the cartridge had been found over the last few months, he was determined to allow it to get dumped first and allow all Amstrad fans a chance to play it. If a fourth copy (surely there must be more?) gets found then we can only hope it falls in the hands of someone such as Gareth once again.
