just put out the new release 2008-12-09 of Arnold/Linux. As usual
Arnold/Linux can be downloaded from the BerliOS project page:

This version contains the long awaitet sound output rewrite. Everyone
who had problems with stuttering sound or needed to use weird SDLSOUND
workarounds is encouraged to try this version. By default OSS is used
for sound output, ALSA, ALSAMMAP or SDL (broken but left in at request)
can be selected via command line (try "arnold -h" for help).
