The 1MB iRAM internal RAM expansion for the CPC 6128 is finally finished and working. It will be released on Github later this year. Unlike the iRAM 640 it requires the SRAMs to be in SMD format, but they are quite easy to solder so it should still be DIY friendly The very first expansion that I have built for documentation and testing purposes (basically the item #1) is now available on Ebay (starting at 1€) and I will ship to anywhere in the EU.
As promised, the internal 1MB RAM expansion iRAM/1024 for the CPC 464 and 664 is in development. The (hopefully) final prototype is in test now and so far everything works. It gives you up to 1MB of total RAM and supports C3 mode (needed for some 6128 specific applications, games and demos like CP/M plus, Future OS or PacMan emulator). As with the iRAM/640 for the 6128, it will be pure plug&play. Open the CPC, remove the CPU and put it into the socket on the iRAM. Then place the iRAM into the CPU socket on the motherboard. And voilà, enjoy up to 1MB of total RAM. It will be still a few more weeks until the tests are finished. Once this is done it will be released on GitHub (for DIY projects) - and probably you can find it sooner or later on Ebay.
Quand on accumule les extensions cela peut être pratique. Surtout quand on possède plusieurs claviers, en avoir un boosté de la sorte pourquoi pas. Un 664 peut monter jusqu'à combien en RAM ?

It will also be possible to build a 576K version (1 SRAM only, no C3 support) or a 640K version (second SRAM is 128K instead of 512K) with the same PCB and logic ICs. There will be a few more weeks of testing before it will be officially released on Github but I'm very confident that everything works now.
I just released the iRAM/1024 for the CPC 464 and 664 on Github - so now everyone can also upgrade those models to a whopping 1024K / 1MB internally.

maximum 6128 compatibility (supports C3 paging - required for some 6128 demos and games)
can be used in parallel to external expansions with RAM built-in like the ULIFAC or DDI5 (has priority over them - so not additional)
(*) for 464 mainbord rev 3 with GateArray 40007 the heat sink needs to be bent - and the 464 rev 4 (cost down) has not been tested as I don't own that model and could not source it .

It won't fit into the CPC 6128 due to its size and is not compatible with the Plus models. Please don't even try it in a Plus. (For a Plus compatible memory expansion check out the Gemini by PulkoMandy)
Je t'en ai acheté 2 récemment. Plus de RAM et moins cher que Lotharek autant profiter. (Lotharek est peu habitué au hardware CPC mais il est incontournable sur Atari je précise).
Je compte équiper plusieurs 6128 pour avoir plusieurs configurations (azerty/qwerty/CRTC/connecteurs centronics...) mais ton modèle est réservé CPC6128, pas 664 ?

Alors la... c'est une bonne question...Je n'en ai aucune idée et n'ayant plus de CPC664 à la maison, je ne peux pas tester. La 1088k est donné pour le CPC6128. Comme dit dans un autre thread, je l'ai testé et elle fonctionne sur mes 2 x CPC464 MAIS, je n'ai aucune idée si elle va fonctionner sans soucis sur tous les 464 et sur les 664
Les acheteurs de la carte pour une conf de 464 / 664 achèteront en connaissance de cause (je l'indiquerais dans l'annonce) Soit ça fonctionne et impec, soit ça fonctionne pas et je suis prêt à rembourser la carte achetée (par contre, pas les FDP)
Donc en gros pour répondre à ta question, faut tester. Que je sache il n'y a pas grand risque à flinguer ton CPC, au pire, bein il ne boot pas et tu éteins direct celui-ci. Et au mieux, ça boot et on lance un test de détection de ram et un jeu.
