Robot PD is proud to announce a PD first (another one!): the first Amstrad comms disc to run under AMSDOS. This disc contains programs for users of all the comms interfaces available for the Amstrad. (Please note that "standard interfaces" are: Amstrad, Pace, Skywave, Cirkit)

  • BBS TERMINAL v5.04` (for all standard interfaces) This is an excellent piece of software - a menu-driven terminal with XModem and XModem-1k file transfers, spooling, and ANSI emulation, plus 'phone directories, This version has been patched by Robot PD to support ASCII uploads.
  • CAGE COMMS` (for Cage Comms ROM) Another good piece of software, this one not only provides you with a whole load of support files for the interface, but also a highly sophisticated call-charge calculator. Helpful when you're trying to reduce your 'phone bill!
  • TIM'S COMMS PROG (for KDS interface) A simple comms utility that makes it easier to use an intelligent modem with the KDS interface. Designed to be modified to your own needs.
  • ANSITERM (for all standard interfaces) Paul Martin's ANSI emulator program - very slick, but no file transfer capabilities.
  • EASYCOMM (for KDS interface) A program that allows KDS users to access boards with one keystroke and use V22bis (2400/2400) speed, designed for intelligent modems. Features its own script file language and a 'phone directory.
  • XMODEM TRANSFER (for Cirkit interface) A very simple download utility for Cirkit interfaces.
  • ICON2 (for all users) A utility to let you send pre-prepared text in Prestel. (Obviously, Cage Comms ROM users don't need this).
  • CAROUSEL (for KDS interface) A simple utility to show a carousel of viewdata screens on your monitor.
  • TEXT FILES Midlands BBS list, TUG 2 Amstrad files, ZModem protocol details, and a list of a few 0800 numbers.
  • 'HOCOMM' (for all standard interfaces) Auto-logon comms program by George Ho-Yow. Designed to be customised!

L'Amstrad CPC est une machine 8 bits à base d'un Z80 à 4MHz. Le premier de la gamme fut le CPC 464 en 1984, équipé d'un lecteur de cassettes intégré il se plaçait en concurrent  du Commodore C64 beaucoup plus compliqué à utiliser et plus cher. Ce fut un réel succès et sorti cette même années le CPC 664 équipé d'un lecteur de disquettes trois pouces intégré. Sa vie fut de courte durée puisqu'en 1985 il fut remplacé par le CPC 6128 qui était plus compact, plus soigné et surtout qui avait 128Ko de RAM au lieu de 64Ko.
