HONG KONG PHOOEY Nº1 Super Guy! Baron Von Bankjob has escaped from jail! Who comes to the rescue? It's Hong Kong Phooey, emerging from the sticky  top drawer of his special file cabinet, with the help of trusty police  station cat, Spot. The latest living legend of our time emerges, mask and kimono askew, the indispensable Kung Fu manual tucked firmly inside his pocket. Otherwise known as the bumbling janitor of Police Headquarters, Penrod  Pooch, our hero leaps into the fray. He remains supremely confident of his dazzling footwork, lightning quick reflexes, and keen powers of perception, despite continual trips, flip-flops and bungles. In Phooey's mind, the  power imbued through his Kung Fu manual cannot but triumph. In reality,  victory over the many colourful villains must be attributed to the  backstage manoeuvres of shrewd little Spot. The Baron's hideout is located in a deserted warehouse somewhere in the  docklands. Your task is to locate the Baron and bring him to justice. Although this may sound easy, beware, there are numerous hazards and  objects to negotiate. THUGS These are faithful servants of the Baron. They will stop at nothing to prevent you from reaching your goal. Thugs can kick, punch, shoot and even throw knives. COLLAPSING PLATFORMS The warehouse is old and decrepit, some plattforms aren't too safe. Too  much pressure and they're sure to collapse. ELEVATORS Luckily for you, the elevators are still working. To operate these Hong  Kong must stand on them and push the joystick in the required direction  i.e. up or down. CONVEYORS This is a perfect way to rest your feet, although once on the conveyors, they will force you to move in their direction. SWITCHES AND DOORS In set places you will find locked doors. These can only be opened by operating the corresponding switch. OIL PATCHES If you pass, through these you will slip and slide uncontrollably. ACID PATCHES Contact with any acid results in energy loss. FALLING DEBRIS Hong Kong must be forever ready to avoid falling debris that can appear at  any time. PLAYER CHARACTERISTICS Hong Kong is able to kick, punch, jump and duck. energy is lost by contact with any of the thugs or their weapons. This is depicted by the famous Hong Kong Book of Kung Fu slowly dissolving as you become weaker. To regain  energy, drinks must be collected. These are scattered throughout the warehouse. Once all your energy is lost the game is over.
