The heart of the CPCng is the 50 MHz eZ80 CPU. The 50 MHz eZ80 is as fast as a Z80 with 200 MHz! Imagine a CPC running with a 200 MHz Z80! The CPCng has 64 MB memory onboard, but the memory is strongly expandable. Parts of the memory will be battery buffered. Therefore the OS is resident in memory and mustn't be loaded from hard disc. Yes! The CPCng will have an IDE hard disc, a PC keyboard, a PC mouse an much special expansion sockets. The CPCng will become graphic and sound features which are comparable with todays good and new computers. The CPCng will become additional GPU and SPU cards which are developed in parallel to the CPCng. Our CPCng will become an easy and intuitive OS, it will come with an integrated Basic and all needed standart applications. FutureSoft is working on an conversion of FutureOS for the CPCng. Other OS's are planned. Through the integrated TCP/IP stack of the eZ80 the CPCng will be internet ready.
