1) To get a bag of flour get the corn and drop it in Arkham mill, then go
to the Upper mill and 'use wheel'. When you go back down to where you left
the corn you will find a bag of flour.

2) Give the barman the bag of flour to get the bottle of wine.

3) To find out about Col. Lemin's death 'use knocker' on the door on
Harrison Street and say to his wife 'Colonel Lemin'.

4) To find out that Lemin was murdered ask Jones the policeman about
Colonel Lemin.

5) At Harrison Street: USE KNOCKER

6) When you meet Jones: ASK ABOUT OTHER CHARACTERS

7) At the church: ASK VICAR TO OPEN CRYPT

8) The man who appears in the graveyard at night: FILE STORY WITH HIS
PHOTO

Here are some hints for the first part:

To get the cross you'll have to wait 'til the third day when you'll find
something of a different shape to give to the vicar to allow you to take
the cross.

To enter the crypt, just say 'crypt' to the vicar, and he also likes words
like
'sulphur' and 'gunpowder'.

The teacher is good at translation.

The colonel's wife might like something you find on day two.

In part two you're going to need the hammer, needle, key and chalk.

And finally a warning for when you move south through where the barrier
was at the end of part one, you only get one chance to save the game.
Have your tape recorder set up correctly otherwise you start again, or
alternatively SAVE just before that, in case your final one doesn't work.

In the Old Mill you should DROP CORD. Then go up, USE WHEEL, down and get
what you see. This you give to the barman.

In the blacksmiths you can USE KNIFE to get the charcoal.

If you go to the graveyard at night time objects will appear. Oo-er!

And what should you give the schoolmistress? No, wash your mouth out, what she wants are THE RECORDS.
