Xen Plus is a follow up to the Xen extension program for the Amstrad CPC's computers, which concentrates on graphics and screen manipulation and provides 13 further commands in less than 2K. The commands are as follows:
- |Help1 lists all new commands.
- |VDU,x provides a BBC like VDU command. For example |VDU,23,1 turns on the graphic XOR function.
- |Scrswap,n allows screen memory to be moved around RAM. When n=1 screen Ram is set to 16384. Setting n to zero reverts to normal.
- |Uprint,x,yn@a$ underlines the text in a$ at graphics coordinates x,y.
- |Emphasise. x,y.@a$ outputs text in an emphasised form.
- |Dotline,n,direction draws a dotted line n pixels long in one of four directions (0 to 3).
- |Scrfacts gives a run down of graphics and text co-ordinates, pen and paper and screen mode.
The remainder of the listing and instructions will be given next week.Continuing on with the listing, the various commands are detailed below. - |GCoord,x,y,@n% returns the screen address equivalent of the x and y graphics co-ordinates in the variable n%.
- |TCoord,x,y,@n% is as above except it deals with text co-ordinates
- |Box, n draws a box with size n at the current graphics cursor position.
- |Drinnt,@a$ outputs aS in double height form to either text or graphics cursor position.
- |Put,x,y,source places a shape from the specified source address on screen at co-ordinates x.y. This allows multicoloured shapes to be printed very quickly.
- |Size, length, width defines the dimensions of the shape to be placed on screen by |Put.
